Youth Circuit & High School #1

The first youth and high school events will be held at Dunn School on Saturday, November 5.

Y10, Y12, and Y14 will start at 9AM.

High School will start at 11AM.

As always, non-competitive USA Fencing memberships are required. Please signup online before the event, as USA Fencing is now charging $10 extra for paper registration forms.

Directions to Dunn Gym:

You’ll see a sign from 154 for Dunn at Santa Ynez Street. Just off the highway you’ll see a road going straight and one to the left. Take the road straight until you get to a closed gate and then turn left along the fence. You’ll pass the gym and then see a parking lot on the left. The gym is the metal structure across from the pool.

Tournament Results

2016 has already been a busy year for fencing. Check out AskFred for results for the Central Coast New Years Foil and the Highlanders’ Three-Weapon Unrated tournaments. Thanks to the organizers of these events and to everyone who came out to fence or help.

New Years Open Foil

Presidio Fencing is hosting an Open Foil tournament at Dunn School in Los Olivos on Saturday, January 2. The event will be run “Santa Barbara Style” which means after pools, the top 50% move on to DEs while the bottom 50% starts a whole new tournament. This format is designed to maximize fencing for competitors of all skill levels. Plus it will be the first opportunity of the year to earn those 2016 ratings! More information and pre-registration is on AskFred.
